How to drape with fabric for a party

The act of creating beautiful drapes is called draping or swaging, like some of my employees will say.
It's a technique that looks beautiful and simple to the layman but believe me could be frustrating to achieve especially when you need to create multiple drapes of the same size and lengths.

Different fabrics act differently when draped. I prefer lighter fabrics for my party decorations.

It is something you need to practice repeatedly in other to become good at it.

1. Fold the tip of the fabric together in a pleated form and tie with a ribbon, ensuring there is enough left over ribbon that will be used to tie the fabric to a hook, pole or rod.

2. Tie the fabric that has being pleated to where you want to place it.

3. Repeat step number one with the other edge and you have created a beautiful drape.
